From October 28 to 31, the Science and Innovation Conference of the Alliance of International Science Organizations under the Belt and Road Initiative (ANSO) was inaugurated in Beijing. As a major event held in conjunction with the 4th ANSO General Assembly, the conference was themed “Science and Innovation for a Sustainable Future.” It brought together nearly 300 experts, scholars, and representatives from more than 50 countries and regions, as well as representatives from seven international organizations, including delegates from 55 ANSO member institutions.

The conference focused on topics of broad public interest, including how open science and open innovation can promote inclusive development, how science and technology can serve sustainable development, how artificial intelligence can improve people’s well-being, and how youth can become bridges toward a shared future.
